01 — Who We Are
A CBO built by and for persons with disabilities in Laikipia.
United Disabled Persons of Laikipia (UDPL) is registered under the Directorate of Social Development in Kenya, and is also associated with the Micro and Small Enterprises Authority (MSEA). We exist to promote the rights, inclusion, participation and socio-economic empowerment of persons with disabilities across Laikipia County.
Mission
To empower persons with disabilities through advocacy, economic empowerment, capacity building, governance and leadership, and partnerships that promote inclusion and sustainable livelihoods.
Our office sits along the Nanyuki–Dol Dol Road, next to Falcon Heights Hotel, opposite Nanyuki Referral Hospital — home to our administrative office, a conference and meeting room, and a venue for community meetings, advocacy activities and organizational events.

Khaki Bag Production
30 members trained in producing reusable khaki bags, envelopes and packaging bags — turning a practical skill into a steady, dignified income stream.
30 members trained
Honey Production
Supporting beekeeping as a sustainable income-generating activity. Ten members received bee hives to start or grow their own honey enterprises.
10 hives distributed
Autism Spectrum Disorder Awareness
Building understanding where it is needed most: training caregivers, OPD leaders and the wider community to recognise, support and include people on the autism spectrum.
